Now...Its REALLY Done!

alright...
mie wanted to leave this project done without the button buckle... but couldn't do it! just had to follow this picture in the book... so, its done, 99% of it at least... the buckle is without a Velcro strap or magnet to hold it in place... which one would be better... had to bring it to the master for an answer!
till then ladies...ciao

Done - Almost!!!

yesyesyes.... its all done!
had sew the bias initially onto the seam directly... just did work...
check out the clothes peg to hold bias tape in place... hahhaaa... improvise...

totally happy with my 1st own project...direct from the books... still a few parts to be done, but me reckon its good as it is now... daddy said it looked like something japanese woman would take shopping...iayo daddy, it is a japanese pattern... hehehee... daddy can be blur...
thats' the side profile of the chubby supervisor...
always checking on mummy's stuffs...
i'm not quite happy with the bias tape turn out in the corner... maybe its the way i had cutted the material... had done it straight from the cloth rather than 90 degree as the usual bias tape making way... had run out of the black yarn .... took 1/2 m yard to complete...
was thinking to have huge buttons on the holders... what do you reckon?

latest craze...

mie can't wait to upload all the past projects... been a few so far...
so gonna skip all of them 1st to blog about the latest project instead...
colourful patches... quilted drop-in bag
copied direct from the Taiwanese book bought recently... did not ask for help other than Machi for some translations... do errrr...only tak jadi some parts now... should just quilt the batting 1st without sewing the lining piece together... now all the quilting end are visible on the lining itself...
at one point recently...had to ask for help from elaine liao... well, book's instructions cannot be really trusted!
sigh...
at least, machi and elaine had good comments on the way i patched up the squares... nice and neat...ahem, happy for a short while... until the quilting part, with painful finger tips from the needle puncture marks... painful, but satisfied!!!
madness...
i'm worry this bag tak jadi now... very floppy...
machi encouraged to finish it... just to prove that i can and learn from it....ok then...laptop sleeve and the 2nd part of the summer project just have to wait till this bag is done...
anyone can give me good advice when come to projects from the books pls?
got another 2nd set of the orange-coloured finger condoms(dunno what they're called)... the 1st one all ronyok and kaput... less than 2 months usage...

Voodoo Rabbit

copied this rabbit pattern from little Cassandra blouse... it was a much cuter rabbit compared to mie final product... daddy reckons my rabbit look as if its 'high' on drugs or something... with red/pink thread for eyes and too large buttons ...
but then...
i really liked it! despite looking odd...
its my pin cushion...
happy...

beginner's package

no 3...cosmetic bag...
love the very very colorful cotton cat print... but then its very taxing on the eyes when come to quilting it...that's why its only done in one direction instead of' box' pattern...

no 2... sue keychain...
took some time to do this one... the parts are small and to have it attach to each other...wow...good skills learned... but i have too many keys...

no 1... coin purse...
the one on the left is the project product...did not like it that much... had produced many version on this coin purse now...

ever since the 1st project turned out so well... i'm totally hooked to more 'project'!
this is the beginner's package...
